SPIRA DATA CORP. ANNOUNCES RECORD GROWTH

Canadian Leader of Wireless Field Ticketing Solutions Demonstrate Significant Growth with U.S. Expansion, Key Customer Wins and Strategic Partnerships

(CALGARY, AB—(June 10, 2008)— Spira Data Corp., a leading innovator and provider of mobile data management systems, today announced significant growth for the first half of 2008.  Spira has become one of the fastest growing wireless field ticketing providers in the Canadian market today.

The Company expanded its customer portfolio with the addition of several companies in the oil, gas and construction industries, including Performance Services Ltd., IPSEMS (Industrial Paramedic Services) and HSE Integrated Ltd., Canada's largest industrial safety company.

“The first half of 2008 is the best growth period we have experienced,” said Jon Watts, President of Spira Data Corp. “Mobile workforce solutions such as Spira Wireless field ticketing are quickly emerging as a significant and important field-based solution that is changing the way businesses capture operational and financial data.  As the industry continues to evolve in adopting wireless technologies, Spira plans to impact the market by leading the mobile revolution with our flagship solution, by continuing to excel in unparalleled customer satisfaction, and by continuing to harness solid relationships with key partners as we grow—in Canada and the United States.”

Following the launch of Spira Wireless Field Ticketing version 4.8 in November 2007, the Company entered 2008 with a spike in customer acquisitions, strategic partnerships and increased market positioning.  For example, IDC Canada included Spira Data Corp. within its “10 Canadian Wireless Companies to Watch” report published on March 27, 2008.  This report is part of the Canadian Technology Innovation Watch report series, a new IDC study that profiles ten emerging companies in Canada that offer differentiated wireless solutions that have the potential to impact the Information and Communications  Technology (ICT) market.

Another example of significant growth is Spira’s expansion into the U.S.  Spira has recently entered an arrangement with Bluewave Data Systems based in Texas.  Through Bluewave, Spira is now able to provide localized support and expertise for the Spira solution to the business community in Texas and surrounding areas.

“We believe Spira Wireless Field Ticketing, is certainly the best on the market because of its unique standardized platform, extensibility, vertical market capabilities, and its ease of use for field workers and administrators alike,” added Watts.  “2008 is shaping up to be a remarkable year and we look forward to further exciting developments throughout the remainder of the year.  Specifically, we are excited about our imminent release of our handheld options to our mobile device support; as well as the launch of our Spira Software Development Kit, slated for release in December.  Furthermore, we look forward to continued development on our suite of mobile workforce solutions targeted for field-based businesses and beyond.”

Spira Wireless Field Ticketing is a fully customizable mobile data capture solution designed for service-based businesses that allow organizations to save administrative time, reduce operational costs, increase employee productivity, and eliminates costly paper based errors.  The solution eliminates paper in the field and achieves greater profitability by electronically capturing, processing and reporting crucial field and business data with a system that is easy for the field and one that streamlines business workflow.

Spira Data Corp. One of 10 Canadian Wirless Companies to Watch

April 2nd, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(CALGARY, AB—March 31, 2008)— Spira Data Corp., a leading innovator and provider of electronic data acquisition software solutions, today announced that it has been included in IDC Canada’s report entitled “10 Canadian Wireless Companies to Watch”, published March 27, 2008.

IDC Canada’s “10 Canadian Wireless Companies to Watch” report is part of the Canadian Technology Innovation Watch report series, which profiles emerging Canadian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies, examining their technologies, go-to-market strategies, partnering approaches, and customers. The series also highlights the common challenges of bringing new technologies to market and the successful strategies and best practices these companies use to overcome those challenges.

This report profiled ten Canadian wireless companies that IDC sees as having the potential to make a substantial impact in the industry.  The key criteria for the report included clarity of vision of both vendor technology and business evolution, development of partner ecosystems, strength of customer base, and the navigation of competitive environments.  “We are very excited and honoured to be recognized in IDC Canada’s report” said Jon Watts, President of Spira Data Corp.  “This national recognition reinforces Spira’s Wireless Field Ticketing (WFT) technology as a viable, innovative solution that increases productivity while decreasing costs for field-based businesses and field workers alike. At Spira, we have discovered that only one-fifth of field-based companies within vertical industries—such as oil and gas services, energy and utilities—capture their raw field data electronically. And those that currently capture their data electronically are mainly small to mid-size businesses that are forcing large enterprises to take notice of the value added benefits and return on investment of wireless field ticketing.

Spira’s WFT v4.8 represents a new way to capture and transport data, and IDC Canada’s recognition of our technology indicates that wireless field ticketing is an emerging innovation that is needed in field-based industries.”  “IDC's latest study highlights the wealth of wireless technologies and entrepreneurial endeavors across Canada,” said Krista Collins, Analyst, Canadian IT Innovation and Export for IDC Canada. “The companies in this study, including Spira, have developed impressive wireless solutions that deliver greater efficiency, productivity, and engaging interactions, and are positioned for growth locally and globally.”
